“For God so loved [the people of Congo Brazzaville] that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
The Republic of the Congo (West Congo) is a country in Central Africa. Bordering nations include Gabon, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Angola. West Congo has a population of almost five million. Its capital and largest city is Brazzaville. The official language of Congo Brazzaville is French. The national motto is: “Unity, work, progress.” Most citizens of the country are Protestant or Catholic. Today we pray that the Congolese people will work together for the progress of the simple Gospel taught in the pages of the New Testament.
