God So Loved (Page 2)

Grenada

“For God so loved [the people of Grenada] that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should  not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).    Grenada is an island country consisting of Grenada itself plus six smaller islands at the southern end of  the Grenadines in the southeastern Caribbean Sea. Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela, and Saint Vincent  and the Grenadines are neighboring countries. Grenada is known as the island of spice because of its  significant production and export of nutmeg and mace. Grenada has a population of about 110,000. Its  capital and largest city is Saint George’s.    Grenada’s official language is English. The national motto is: “Ever conscious of God we aspire, build and  advance as one people.” Today we pray that the Grenadians will indeed live in God’s presence: “If we  walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son  cleanses us from all sin” (1 John 1:7).    Note: Wikipedia is the source for the geographical information in this feature.
