“For God so loved [the people of Belarus] that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
The Republic of Belarus is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe. Bordering countries include Russia, Ukraine, Poland, and Lithuania. Belarus has a population of more than nine million. Its capital and largest city is Minsk. The nation’s official languages are Belarusian and Russian. Its most popular religious denominations are the Belarusian Orthodox Church and the Roman Catholic Church.
Our prayer today is that the people of Belarus will understand that God “has put all things” under Christ’s feet and “made him the head over all things for the church” (Eph. 1:22).
